Ghoom or Ghum as the name suggests is a sleepy little hill town in the district of Darjeeling. This town is located at an altitude of 7407 feet and is about six kilometers from the main Darjeeling town. Ghum is the first and the highest railway station of India managed by the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway and is a halt of the wonderful DHR toy train.
